What is Recovery Raw?

I came up with the idea of Recovery Raw in August of 2015 while incarcerated in the Indiana Department of Corrections. It wasn't until July 12th of 2017 that that I held the first group and we've been here ever since.

So why another recovery group? Glad you asked. I remember when I was lost in my addiction, I couldn't bear the thought of going into one of those cheesy meetings, where everyone was only quoting shit out of a book. When I went to prison, I was forced into some recovery classes to get a time cut that I was chasing……THAT is when I fell in love with recovery--a real, deep, RAW meeting. So I brought the penitentiary to Greencastle, and that is how I facilitate still to this day.

Recovery Raw of Putnam County is a group going on 5 years in this community that cannot drag you through recovery, but can walk next to you.
